An addendum worth making: in emphasizing the central importance of the Party as an ideological, political, and economic leader of the working class and the democratic workers' state and socialist economy they must build, the ICL is very correctly refuting those who believe we have now moved "beyond" Leninism and democratic vanguardism, such as the French quasi-Marxist philosopher Alain Badiou who, though formerly sympathetic to Mao Tse Tung Thought and a member of an MList group, now advocates "post-party" politics. Leninism is not a thing of the past; today, as part of MLMism, it is as vital as it has ever been!
